We are extremely excited to partner with Chosen Children! Chosen Children is a ministry motivated by God’s love for the millions of children and widows in desperate need of hope in Mozambique and beyond. It is dedicated to providing opportunities and resources that will transform the lives of each child and the communities they live in.
Renuka Jeyanayagam was born in Sri-Lanka. While still in high school she became passionate about the plight of orphans and vulnerable children around the world, especially in Africa. After moving to Canada, she began to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity internationally, building homes in far flung places such as Siberia. It was on one of these volunteer trips to Zambia that God confirmed her calling to minister to and champion the cause of orphans in Africa.
Since her first visit in 2005, she has traveled to Africa every year, and had the privilege of initiating projects personally and on behalf of a Canadian relief mission, as well as volunteering and partnering with various mission organizations, in Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania. She has been involved in starting up libraries, income generating projects, building homes and initiating and co-ordinating every aspect of those ministries that support orphans in the community and homes.
In December 2012, to embrace the broader vision God has given her to care for orphans and widows in Africa, she founded her own ministry "Chosen Children". Please visit her website at Chosen Children to find out more.

Chosen Children has partnered with AFICRIMO, a grass roots organization consisting of volunteers from various churches in the area of Cafumpe. These volunteers run a program, caring for the orphans in their midst. It is a wonderful demonstration of the poor helping the poor by sharing the little they have with one another. Please see Cafumpe Project for more information.
