What we do
Vital projects, far beyond what we could have imagined
Because we partner with trusted national leaders who understand their communities, we’re able to come alongside them as they identify needs and develop solutions that bring lasting change.
Bringing clean water closer to home
A well may seem like a simple thing. But in a rural community in Mozambique, it can change everything. CFO-MOZ has helped fund three protected wells equipped with hand pumps for our partners’ communities
A protected well means more than water — it means health, dignity, opportunity, and hope. It can mean a mother no longer walks miles for water, and girls have more time for school.
Below are statistics for Mozambique as a whole. Clearly there is a need for accessible useable water throughout country.

Creating opportunities for children
Education can change the trajectory of an entire family — and ultimately, an entire community. CFO-MOZ has helped fund the construction and development of schools where children have limited access to quality education. We also provide school supplies for those going to public school and scholarships for higher education.
The schools we’ve helped build provide safe, welcoming environments for children to grow academically, socially, and spiritually — including school buildings, teachers, uniforms, supplies, and daily meals.
Below are statistics that show the status of education in Mozambique which is one of the main reasons to build private schools.

Safe and dignified places to live and serve
Homes for Widows
Small brick homes for widows in Elias’s community who once lived in makeshift huts — bringing safety, security, and dignity.
Homes for Ministry Partners
Safe, secure homes (and repairs) for our partners’ own families, so they can focus on serving rather than worrying about their own shelter.
Buildings That Make Ministry Possible
Outdoor kitchens and bathrooms, dormitories, school buildings and flooring for a church/multipurpose building — each removing a small barrier to daily life.
Keeping our partners moving
Few people in Mozambique own cars, and public transportation can be a harrowing, crowded, unreliable experience. For our ministry partners, dependable transportation is essential — to transport staff, bring children to school, deliver supplies, and respond when someone needs help.
Two partners serve in particularly remote locations, reached only by rugged dirt roads filled with deep ruts and bumps. CFO-MOZ has been able to help provide dependable vehicles when the need arises — helping our partners spend less time worrying about how they’ll get where they need to go, and more time doing the work they’ve been called to do.
